Everything must burn, to allow the new life to grow.
We must allow ourselves to fall completely into the arms of grace.
The fire must be given full permission to rage through the depths of us
And burn away all that is not real.
We are what remains,
When the fire has consumed everything.
When the ashes have blown away in the breeze,
and only silence remains.
Then we shall come to see what was there all along,
waiting quietly beneath the surface.
watching our folly without judgement
Waiting, with infinite patience and love,
for us to fall into its warm embrace.
